Ultimate Wrestling blasted into 2010 with ‘New Blood’ at the American Legion Post #33 in Pensacola,
Florida on January 2. With all that transpired at ‘End of Days,’ the Pensacola fans were excited to
see their new Ultimate Wrestling Champion, Cameron Frost, in action for his first title defense.
Everyone in attendance got everything they could have asked for to ring in a new year at Ultimate,
as the road to ‘Milestone’ has now begun.

Tag Team Champion Jerry Reiner vs. “Pure” Doug Pitt

To start ‘New Blood,’ Ultimate Wrestling General Manager Diana Drake-Hearse came out to address
the situation with the Tag Team Championship. At ‘End of Days,’ the new Champions, The INVASION,
kept their titles by pinning Doug Pitt, who was the illegal man in the match. Mrs. Drake-Hearse said
that even though INVASION kept the titles by trickery, the match would stand, and that they would
remain the champions. This meant that T.A. Jones and Doug Pitt would not get another rematch for
the titles, and would have to start at the bottom of the tag team ranks. She then said that due to the
way the previous title match ended, she would give both Doug and T.A. a shot at INVASION in
singles competition, and if they won their matches then they would get another shot at the Tag
Team Titles.

The first match would pair “Pure” Doug Pitt against Jerry Reiner. Though Doug was able to get early
momentum, Jerry used his veteran savvy to slow the pace down and take away Doug’s athletic
prowess. Anytime Doug started to pick the pace back up and take things to his own level, Reiner
was able to slow things down once again. Following each power maneuver with a crippling
submission hold, Jerry continually wore down not only Doug’s body, but his willpower. Suddenly, as
Jerry went to hit an elbow drop from the top rope, Pitt sprung to life, knocking Reiner off the top,
and signaled for the “Super Power Ranger Kick.” But before Doug could deliver the kick, Cruze
came running down, distracting the referee. As the ref chased Cruze back to the dressing room,
Jerry was able to take down Doug and hit the Shining Wizard as the ref got back into the ring,
picking up the pin.

Johnny Rebel vs. Turbo Ted

In a matchup of one of the most popular Superstars in Ultimate, and one of the most hated, Johnny
Rebel faced off against Turbo Ted. From the start, both men went for a power technical approach,
with grappling and counter grappling all over the ring, neither man was able to mount an
advantage. That was until Ted hit a series of head attacks that left Rebel dazed. With his feet on the
ropes for added leverage, Ted pinned Rebel to the mat for the three count and the victory.

Cruiserweight Champion “The Bruiserweight” Maze & MR. Marcus Gibbs vs. “The Evolution” Robyn
Golphin & Jet Angel

With nobody to officially challenge for Maze’s Cruiserweight Championship, the next match at ‘New
Blood’ featured four of the newly revamped Cruiserweight Division’s athletes in a tag match, as the
Champ teamed with MR. Marcus Gibbs to take on Jet Angel and Robyn Golphin. The chemistry
between Maze and MR. Gibbs was evident, as they were able to continually get tags in and keep
Robyn from getting any momentum. Suddenly, Robyn was able to hit a spear on a counter to Marcus,
finally getting in the tag to his partner. As Jet built up momentum, he tagged back in Robyn, but
Golphin soon lost that momentum, and fell victim to an irate MR. Gibbs’ “Sandman Clutch,” and
eventually submitted.

The Amish Assassin vs. “The Feature” Carlos D’Angelo (C) for Ultimate Wrestling X-Factor
Championship

In his first singles match since returning at ‘End of Days,’ the Amish Assassin was given a match
against the X-Factor Champion Carlos D’Angelo. The fighting champion that he is, Carlos turned this
match into a title match, giving the young Amishman his first official shot at Ultimate Gold. The two
Pennsylvania natives, and technical masters, put on a pure wrestling clinic, each going hold for
hold with the other. The Amishman was finally able to utilize his size advantage on D’Angelo, but the
veteran knowhow of Carlos prevailed as the Champ took the momentum back towards his side of
the spectrum. Suddenly, the Amishman picked up Carlos and delivered his “Monsoon,” a modified
Amish style Airplane Spin. With Carlos dazed, Amish then locked on a devastating bearhug that
seemed Carlos would never get out of. After the Champ started to fight back, Amish wore him down
and again locked on the bearhug. But Carlos was able to once again battle back, and tried to hit the
STO, but it was not to be as the Amishman’s size countered the move on its’ own. So Carlos did the
next best thing he could, as he stomped on the Amishman’s foot and hit the Running Knee to pick
up the pin.

Tag Team Champion Justin Cruze vs. “Mr. USA” T.A. Jones

In the second match of the Tag Team Title matches, Justin Cruze fought Mr. USA himself, T.A. Jones.
Although T.A. had the early momentum, Cruze soon took over the match with a vicious superkick.
With the crowd firmly behind Jones, Mr. USA came to life, battling back to hit a flying shoulder block.
Just as Jones hit the shoulder, Reiner came running to the ring to distract the referee, just has
Cruze had done earlier in the evening. Unbeknownst to Jones, Reiner had also brought a foreign
object to ringside for Cruze, but quick reactions from T.A. prevented him being struck with it.
Unfortunately for Jones, however, as he picked up the object to throw it from the ring, referee
Danny Wright turned around and saw Jones with the object, and immediately disqualified him. The
decision cost not only Jones the match, but also he and his partner’s chance to regain the Tag
Team Championship.

“BTY” Colby Godwin vs. “Canadian Superstar” Aeon Flexx

Two men that came so close to victory at ‘End of Days’ squared off in Pensacola as ‘BTY’ took on
Aeon Flexx. Colby Godwin came just inches away from winning the Royal Four Match, but fell to
Deathrow. Although he didn’t win, he did get a chance for the Ultimate Wrestling Championship later
in the year, just not on this night. On this night, he had his hands full with a man who came just
inches away from becoming the Ultimate Wrestling Champion at ‘End of Days.’ Flexx came up short
of the title, and his frustrations must be beginning to mount, as mental errors prevented him from
taking control of the match with ‘BTY.’ Colby was able to fight after multiple attempts by Flexx at a
‘Crossface,’ but Flexx kept countering Godwin’s own counters. Finally, Colby was able to take
control and start working on the injured knee of Flexx, but Aeon was able to battle out and hit a
Russian Leg Sweep, ending any momentum ‘BTY’ could muster. As the two continued to battle,
Flexx was able to lock on a Sharpshooter, further wearing down the limbs of ‘BTY.’ Again, Colby was
able to battle out, and after a series of counters, was able to lock on his ‘.’ But Flexx was able to
escape it, and finally locked on the Crossface he had been looking for all match long. But neither
man would pick up the win, as the bell rang, signaling that time had expired.

Colby Godwin vs. Aeon Flexx resulted in a time limit draw (15:00)

“Brutal” Joe Gibson vs. “Master of Devastation” Cameron Frost (C) for the Ultimate Wrestling
Championship

In the Main Event of ‘New Blood,’ Cameron Frost put the Ultimate Wrestling Championship on the
line for the first time against an arch-enemy that once was a best friend. “Brutal” Joe Gibson was
never pinned by the “Master of Devastation” in the MINI-Tournament at ‘End of Days,’ so after
making his way into the Royal Four, Joe was given his guaranteed title opportunity to start the new
year. It seemed that Joe would take full advantage of his Royal Four shot, as he dominated the
Champ from the get-go. After looking like he would lock on Frost’s own signature Surfboard Stretch,
Joe leaped and came crashing down on both knees of Cameron. That seemed to be the gameplan
for Gibson, as he continued to work on the lower body of Frost all match long. Not allowing a
chance for Frost to even breathe without some punishment being delivered, Gibson continued his
brutality (no pun intended) with power move after punishing power move. Frost would fight back,
however, and return the favors to Joe, with two dropkicks to Joe’s backside as his neck was hung
up in the turnbuckle. The fight then spilled to the floor, where Joe once again took control of the
match. Frost would come back to life, countering an attempt by Joe for a double axehandle, and
leaping to the top rope himself to hit the moonsault. The momentum would not last, as Joe kicked
out of the pin attempt, and soon thereafter took control yet again. After the two traded blows in the
middle of the ring, Joe went to hit Frost with the “Irish Wake” and capture the title, but Cameron’s
awareness worked in his favor, as he dodged the lariat and rolled up Joe for the pin. As Frost
celebrated the victory, he turned around right into an “Irish Wake.” As Frost lay unconscious, Joe
picked him up and was signaling for another “Wake,” but ‘BTY’ Colby Godwin ran out to confront the
man who had said some disparaging words about him before the match. As Joe backed away, Colby
helped Frost back to his feet, albeit unwelcomed from the Champion. Colby and Joe locked eyes
from afar, and the fire that burned in both men’s eyes seemed to show a glimpse of dangerous
times to come between the two…
