| Results from Ultimate Wrestling's 'Retribution' IP: 68.101.23.59 Posted on 9/7/2009 at 07:25:47 PM by B.M. Woodson Ultimate Wrestling returned to an electrified crowd at the American Legion Post 33 in Pensacola, FL for ‘Retribution.’ All roads led up to this fantastic showcase, with all three titles up for grabs, a huge triple main event, and a showcase for the upcoming ‘Ecstasy of Gold.’ **RESULTS** *“Story of the Year” Brian Caige def. “Mr. USA” T.A. Jones* T.A. Jones has been pushing everyone to the limit in Ultimate Wrestling. Although he’s pushed everyone to the brink, he has still been on a losing skid. Brian Caige, however, has been un-pinned in his entire wrestling career, and completely unbeaten in one-on-one matches. If anyone could push “The A-Lister” to his limits and break that streak, it would be “Ultimate Wrestling’s First Son.” In the match, Jones seemed to have an answer for everything the rookie sensation threw his way. After a flurry of near falls, Jones had seen enough of the ####y Caige, and locked in his “BBL Clutch” for a third time in the match. Just as it seemed Caige would finally give in, however, he distracted Sr. Official Frog Lane just enough to deliver a low blow to Jones, who was still locked on with the clutch. This gave Caige enough separation to hit the “Final Take,” and with his feet on the ropes for an added advantage, picked up the pinfall. Following the match, a defeated Jones thanked the crowed for their continued support, and with the hopes that his moment will finally come at ‘Ecstasy of Gold.’ --------------------------------------------------------------------- *“Party Gras” Justin Stone and Turbo Ted def. The Black Wolf and “Pure” Doug Pitt in a Lethal Lottery Tag Match* Fans were treated to another ‘Ecstasy of Gold’ preview, as once again four members of the UW Roster were randomly drawn just minutes before the show started to compete in a Lethal Lottery Match. This time, Justin Stone, who picked up the pinfall in the previous preview match, was paired with Turbo Ted, also a second time competitor. “Pure” Doug Pitt was also chosen a second time, however this time he was teamed with The Black Wolf. The match ended with Stone hitting the “Party Valley Driver” on Black Wolf and picking up the pin. Stone is on a hot streak, seemingly able to coexist with anyone he is teamed with. Could his party go lucky lifestyle help him coexist yet again at ‘Ecstasy of Gold?’ Will we be seeing the UW Tag Team Championship belts used as a beer pong paddle? Find out September 12 at ‘Ecstasy of Gold!’ --------------------------------------------------------------------- *“The Bruiserweight” Maze def. Jet Angel to retain Ultimate Wrestling Cruiserweight Championship* Jet Angel has been nothing short of spectacular since debuting in Ultimate Wrestling. He came to taste success, and has come close to becoming the UW Cruiserweight Champion. His only roadblock: “The Bruiserweight” Maze. The savvy veteran stole a win from Angel in their match for the title, but Jet avenged that loss with a victory in a non-title match. This time, it would all be on the line. The two put on a frenzied pace, with aerial feats that are unsurpassed in the Gulf Coast area. In the end, though, Maze would finally get the best of Jet, hitting his “Bruise Your Face” to pick up the win, and retain his title heading into ‘Ecstasy of Gold.’ --------------------------------------------------------------------- *“The Feature” Carlos D’Angelo def. MR. Marcus Gibbs to retain Ultimate Wrestling X- Factor Championship* MR. Marcus Gibbs has been a thorn in the side of Carlos D’Angelo. But it seems that no matter what Marcus throws at the champ, Carlos won’t back down. Even after squeaking out a victory at ‘Back With a Vengeance,’ Carlos willingly put the title on the line again at ‘Retribution.’ All that matters to “The Feature” is defending his title with honor, something he felt Gibbs had none of. This match for the X-Factor Championship would not be the same as the last, however. D’Angelo was not going to be “lucky” tonight, he was out to win. The two technical experts put on another classic match, but this time Carlos would dominate at the end, shouting that he is “still untouchable” as he hit the STO to pick up the pinfall, finally silencing the threat of the former “Chocolate Boy Wonder.” --------------------------------------------------------------------- *“The Canadian Superstar” Aeon Flexx def. “Black Sheep” Bobby Doll in a 2-of-3 Falls Canadian Dungeon Match* Bobby Doll has a problem with authority. More specifically, Bobby has a problem with the authority in Ultimate Wrestling. Bobby feels that this is a “man’s business,” and that there is no place for a woman like UW General Manager Diana Drake-Hearse. Bobby has even gone so far as to attempt to hit her with a piledriver—on a steel chair. Thankfully, Aeon Flexx would never allow it, and thus he has stood as the guard between Bobby and Diana. After what happened at ‘Aftermath,’ Flexx had had enough of Bobby, and challenged him to a Canadian Dungeon Match, which was signed regardless of Bobby’s acceptance. Flexx was out to destroy Bobby. After a grueling start, Flexx was able to win the first fall, thereby forcing Bobby to be handcuffed to the corner for two minutes while Flexx was able to beat the stuffing out of him. Bobby’s Uncle Jim jumped in the way of this, however, and turned Flexx’s attention away as the two minutes ran down. With his mind in a desperate state, Bobby pulled out no stops to try and win the second fall. Unfortunately, his body would not stay at the level of intensity his mind was at, and he came crashing to the mat, writhing in pain. Flexx capitalized and covered a seemingly injured Doll, and won the second fall, winning the match. As Bobby was carted to the back, Flexx grabbed Uncle Jim, saying “since Bobby can’t last ‘til a third fall, I’m gonna make you!” He then put Jim in a “Sharpshooter” until he heard Jim scream for his life. Bobby Doll was examined by doctors after the match, with initial reports indicating a serious leg muscle injury. No word on the extent of injury or any specifics are available at this time, as well as no word on how much time Bobby Doll could miss due to this. Despite his attacks against GM Diana Drake-Hearse, Ultimate Wrestling Management and staff wish Bobby the best, and hope he will make a return to action soon. --------------------------------------------------------------------- *“The Former Sinner” Nick Virtue def. “The Master of Devastation” Cameron Frost to retain Ultimate Wrestling Heavyweight Championship in a No-DQ Match* Frost versus Virtue. It has been the talk of the Gulf Coast over the past few months. All eyes have been on this blood feud, with vicious words, and vicious actions traded between the two. Virtue has done everything he could to keep his title: play mind games, get disqualified, anything he could do he has. But there would be no mind games in this match. There were no disqualifications in this match. At the end of the night, one of these men would have to earn the title. All the stops were pulled out by both men, and no punches were pulled. Fists, chairs, kicks and tables were all thrown, and in the end, Virtue came out victorious, retaining the Ultimate Heavyweight Championship. Frost’s bid to become the champion may have failed this time, but look to the future, and Frost will most definitely be back at the top. --------------------------------------------------------------------- *“Brutal” Joe Gibson def. Deathrow in Dog-Collar Match* Quite literally the biggest and most destructive feud in Ultimate Wrestling history has been between “Brutal” Joe Gibson and Deathrow. Just a look at the monikers of the two mastodons tells all that needs to be known. Blood and chains have been a constant, as well as a path of destruction throughout the arenas that these two are in. It seemed the only way to contain the destruction would be with a ten-foot steel chain wrapped around both men’s necks. Thus, a dog-collar match was made to settle this feud once and for all. With nowhere to run for either man, the destruction was nothing short of brutal(no pun intended.) Deathrow seemed to not want to be confined, and ended up taking off his collar in order to use the entire chain as a weapon against Joe. This would come back to bite Deathrow, as near the end, a viciously bloodied Gibson would wrap the entire chain around his arm, and hit an also bloodied ‘Row with the “Irish Wake,” finally giving this clash of titans a victor. Will these two meet again at ‘Ecstasy of Gold?’ If so, this reporter feels sorry for the respective partners, because there could possibly be no restraint this time. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Ultimate Wrestling presents the FIRST EVER ‘Ecstasy of Gold’ Tournament THIS SATURDAY, September 12 at the Santa Rosa County Auditorium in Milton, FL.
