| Results from 'Harvest of Sorrows' 11-21 IP: 74.178.166.198 Posted on 11/22/2009 at 06:12:31 AM by B.M. Woodson Ultimate Wrestling returned to Milton, Florida and the Santa Rosa County Auditorium on November 21 for 'Harvest of Sorrows.' The fans were elated to see three great title defenses, as well as the huge set up for the mini-tournament for the Ultimate Wrestling Championship at 'End of Days' on December 19. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RESULTS --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Bruiserweight" Maze def. "Story of the Year" Brian Caige via disqualification to retain Ultimate Cruiserweight Championship Brian Caige has had a year to remember. Not only has he virtually guaranteed himself Rookie of the Year honors by never being pinned or submitted in his entire career, but he has also caused many veterans to take notice of his abilities. One of the first people to notice the talent of this rookie phenom was the Ultimate Wrestling Cruiserweight Champion Maze, who met Caige on the set of a feature film as an extra, and took the youngster under his wing to become a wrestler. Caige has obviously learned the tricks of the trade from Maze, doing anything and everything to keep "the streak" alive. Caige has also taken notice of The Black Wolf, who is the polar opposite of the "Story of the Year." Wolf has never won a match, and if he doesn't win a match before the end of the year management has decided to terminate his contract. Caige has taken it upon himself to carry the burden of being the one that kills the career of the Wolf. On this night, Caige invited Wolf to sit at ringside, while he "showed him what it's like to be a winner." Maze was not going to be one-upped by his former student, however, as both men tried repeatedly to use their dirty tricks, usually going for the same thing at the exact same time. When neither of the two could gain an upper hand, Caige blatantly delivered a low-blow to Maze, causing a disqualification. With Black Wolf still looking on, Caige decided to take out his aggression on his former teacher, to make it clear to Wolf what he was going to do to him at 'End of Days.' Caige grabbed the bell from the timekeepers' table, with the intent to use it on Maze, but at that point Wolf had seen enough. Wolf slid into the ring, not so much to save "The Bruiserweight," but to show Caige that he would not be intimidated. Caige then turned to strike Wolf with the bell, who ducked out of harms way, and scooped up Caige for a bone-rattling Running Powerslam. A triumphant Wolf stood over the limp body of Brian, and as he let out his signature howl, the feeling that the "Story of the Year" may be soon ending has resonated throughout the fans. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Party Gras" Justin Stone pinned "The Evolution" Robyn Golphin Justin Stone has always been pretty carefree. He's the life of the party everywhere he goes, but lately he's been as serious as one could be. That's because MR. Marcus Gibbs has taken the fun out of the "Ultimate Party." Over the past few months, Gibbs has caused Stone to lose matches with distractions, and two weeks ago at 'Indestructible' had busted Stone's head open, and dumped bottles of alcohol over the bloody wound. With their "Bourbon Street Brawl" upcoming at 'End of Days,' Stone still had to focus on his opponent at 'Harvest of Sorrows' in the newest cruiserweight superstar in Robyn Golphin. Golphin has wowed the fans with his acrobatics in his first few matches, and was looking to make a statement with a win over one of Ultimate's more established superstars. The two had a hard fought match, but at the end, MR. Gibbs made his presence felt yet again in attempt to cost Stone the match, but it wouldn't work this time, as Stone still was able to maintain his composure and hit Golphin with his 'Party Valley Driver' to score the pin and the much needed victory. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "The Feature" Carlos D'Angelo pinned Turbo Ted to retain Ultimate X-Factor Championship Carlos D'Angelo may have failed to become the first double-champion in Ultimate Wrestling history twice, but he still may go down as the greatest fighting champion in Ultimate history. From the day he won the X-Factor Championship, he has defended it without complaint or grievance every time he has been required to, and even a few times by choice. On this night, the master technician would defend his title for the first time since early October against the hardest hitter in Ultimate: Turbo Ted. The clashing styles certainly led to an entertaining match, but in the end the technical prowess of D'Angelo prevailed, as Carlos hit Ted with the STO to finish off the veteran and retain his title yet again. Although there is nobody named as the Number One Contender for his title, Carlos has shown that he'll defend his strap anytime, anywhere, against anyone, and he intends to do so until he can no longer compete. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Deathrow pinned Johnny Rebel Simply put, Deathrow is a monster. Not only has he virtually annihilated the entire Ultimate Wrestling Training Academy, but he's vowed that he'll destroy the entire roster in the Royal Four Match at 'End of Days' on December 19. For the first time, however, he faced a worthy opponent at 'Harvest of Sorrows' when he fought with the newest fan favorite in Ultimate: Johnny Rebel. Rebel's dimwitted charm has wooed the fans from day one, and it didn't take long to realize that he could possibly tame the beast that is Deathrow. Unfortunately, it wouldn't last, as 'Row eventually dismantled Rebel, and beat him cleanly in the ring. As much effort as Rebel put into the match, it seemed he received from Deathrow. After the match, Rebel was helped to the back, and after an evaluation from medical staff, was sent to the hospital for what seemed to be a serious debilitating injury. No word yet as to Rebel's condition, nor to the specifics of the injury, although it is believed that Johnny suffered a serious back injury. Can anyone take on the mastodon? Or will Deathrow's reign of terror continue with no end in sight? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ultimate Wrestling Champion Nick Virtue pinned Aeon Flexx; Flexx pinned "Brutal" Joe Gibson and "Master of Devastation" Cameron Frost in four-way elimination match The blockbuster announcement for 'End of Days' that there would be a mini-tournament for the Ultimate Wrestling Championship was a shock to everyone in Pensacola on November 5. What ensued to set up the mini-tournament was even more electrifying. With the opportunity to not only choose their opponent, but their position on the card at 'End of Days,' all four participants looked to gain a much needed advantage going into December 19. In an elimination four-way match, each man gave their all to gain the edge, and possibly make them the favorite to walk out of 'End of Days' as the Ultimate Wrestling Champion. In a flurry of action, Aeon Flexx was able to pin both Cameron Frost and Joe Gibson in near succession, but as he attempted to recover briefly, Nick Virtue took advantage of the injured knee of Flexx, and capitalized for the pinfall and the victory. Afterwards, Virtue claimed on that if Joe and Frost want to go at each other, then let them. Virtue had decided that his first round opponent at 'End of Days' would be a vulnerable Flexx. Not only would he wrestle who he saw as the weakest of the four, but he would also take the advantage of being the first match of the night, allowing himself plenty of time to rest following what he sees as a sure victory over the "Canadian Superstar." After all of this transpired, it is now known how the mini-tournament will play out. Nick Virtue will defend the Ultimate Wrestling Championship against Aeon Flexx in the very first match of 'End of Days,' with "Brutal" Joe Gibson taking on Cameron Frost later in the evening. The two winners will face off in the main event of the night, following the Royal Four Match, with the winner walking away with the Ultimate Wrestling Championship. It has also been announced by GM Diana Drake-Hearse that the two men that do not make the final match will be allowed to enter the Royal Four Match, allowing them another chance to earn Number One Contendership for the title. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Mr. USA" T.A. Jones & "Pure" Doug Pitt pinned "BTY" Colby Godwin & "Black Sheep" Bobby Doll to retain Ultimate Tag Team Championship Bobby Doll still has a problem with authority. Even after he prevented Colby Godwin from becoming Number One Contender for the X-Factor Championship one month ago, he feels he's owed everything by Diana Drake-Hearse. Bobby wants to bring class and respect back to wrestling, but many feel that he's not deserving of that respect. These same people feel that Bobby himself has no respect for anyone or anything, especially the strong woman that currently runs the shows and writes his paychecks. He'll tell anyone about the Tag Team Championships were stolen from him by management, and how he's never been given a chance to regain them and become the very first three-time champion of the same title in Ultimate history. So he called out Diana to demand that after what he accomplished in recent months, that he be awarded a title shot. Mrs. Drake-Hearse surprisingly obliged, but with a trick up her sleeve. If Bobby wanted to become a champion again, he would have to do it with his newest mortal enemy. A livid Bobby was forced to team with the newest superstar in Ultimate, and the man he prevented from gaining a title shot not too long ago; the man that is known simply by three letters: B, T, Y. Colby Godwin came out and told Bobby that regardless of what they have against each other, more specifically their match at 'End of Days,' that he was confident that together they could become the Tag Team Champions. During the match, everything seemed to be going Bobby and Colby's way, until a miscommunication caused BTY to hit Bobby square in the chest with a boot, sending him spilling to the floor. Bobby had had enough at this point, and left Colby high and dry to fend for himself. Godwin fought valiantly, however, as each time Pitt and Jones started to take control, Colby would fight back and establish his dominance. At one point, after preventing Jones from hitting an attack off the top rope, Colby hit Jones and sent him tumbling to the floor. As T.A. fell, he hit his leg on the steps at ringside, and seemed to be seriously injured. All of a sudden, it was down to a one-on-one match between Pitt and Godwin for the Tag Team Titles. The two battled back and forth for what seemed like ages, with neither man able to mount an advantage. As Colby was finally able to start to take control, Jones emerged from the back, determined to be there to help his partner. The same could not be said for Colby, as Bobby Doll was nowhere to be found. Eventually the two-on-one advantage worked for Jones and Pitt, as T.A. was able to lock on the "BBL Clutch," and as Colby fought to free himself, Pitt hit the "Super Power Ranger Kick" as Jones delivered the "BBL Slam" for the pin, once again retaining their titles. After the match, Bobby Doll finally emerged from the back, mockingly applauding the performance of BTY. Bobby said that he now respects him, although his tone seemed to show something more sinister. As Bobby reached out his hand for a handshake, and Colby accepted the shake, Bobby attacked, laying out a tired and weakend Colby with a devastating piledriver. But Bobby wasn't done with just a beatdown. He wanted to make sure Colby knew just what he was dealing with on December 19. As Colby fell to the floor, Bobby followed, intent on hitting another piledriver to Colby, this time on the unforgiving floor. Fortunately, several superstars rushed to the aid of Colby, and were able to pull Bobby away before any more damage could be done. No word on the condition of BTY, but it is rumored that he had a very emotional interview that should be released very shortly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ultimate Wrestling will be back in action on December 5 as Ultimate Wrestling presents 'Deck the Hall' LIVE from the American Legion Post #33 in Pensacola, Florida.
